We went to the doctor's office yesterday for a "weigh in" to see if these little skinny things are actually putting on what they need, and it seem that indeed they are! Carter was 5 lbs 1/2 oz and Logan (the little tub) was 4 lbs 5 1/2 oz. The doctor said they look very good and even gave permission to let them sleep a little longer in between feedings! (We were waking them up every 3 hours whether they were hungry or not, resulting in a few very sluggish and unproductive feeds.) We can't go for more than 5 hours, but I have to say that seems like an eternity compared to what we've been doing! We were shooting for 4 hours during the night, but only made it 3 1/2. Still, the boys woke up on their own and ate much better. It's still just sleep, eat, poop and pee for them for now, (along with the 14 loads of laundry we do every day in between since their little butts are still too small for the preemie diapers, so often they wake up wet), but we're getting there!!
