Hair Cuts and Flocks of Seagulls

I have a dilemma regarding my sons’ hair styles.
My mom likes the top long and the sides short, and greatly dislikes it short all over.
Daddy has clippers and likes their heads buzzed. He does not like it long.
I am cheap; I would prefer to just cut their hair at home.  Unfortunately I am lacking in the ability to cut squirmy boy heads, and so usually just let dad have his way.
Grandma Susie took the boys to get their hair cut yesterday at a fun kid’s salon. Since grandma was paying, she got a major say in the hairstyle.
Here is what she was going for:

The boys have different head shapes, and their hair grows in all different directions, so it's not really realistic. Still, it's cute, and very basic.

Here is what daddy thinks they look like:

Here is what they actually look like. I think they look like cutey little boys. What do you think?

Memories of the Mighty Mites

These boys’ memories are starting to amaze me. How can these little babies know so much? The other day, just after the boys came downstairs in the morning, Carter climbs up on the stool and says “We live in the ‘tate of Owe -ee-gun.” I was shocked, and then of course tried to capture it on video. No luck. But he did say we lived (when asked) in something that sounded very much like North America. The jury is still out on that one.
This morning, we were discussing what the boys might do at their grandma’s house today, since they’re going for a sleep over. Logan said “one time I went to a movie with Grandma Ju Ju and Grandpa Mark. It was called Happy Feet.” That was 2 months ago.
